TACA Announces New Board of Directors Members and
TACA, the premier umbrella arts organization in North Texas, has appointed four new members to its Board of Directors to serve three-year terms. In addition, the organization has appointed six current board members to second three-year terms and named its 2011 board officers.
"We are thrilled about the outstanding slate of officers, new board members and returning board members—all of whom will provide sound guidance and passion for TACA’s mission of supporting the performing arts,” said Becky Young, President and Executive Director of TACA. "Their commitment and energy will help TACA raise the funds necessary to support many worthy local arts organizations."
New board members include: Shannon Brame, Todd Fiscus, Ed Tauriac, Jr. and Ashley Tripplehorn.
Shannon Brame has been a member of WaterTower Theatre’s Board since 2007 and currently serves as Co-Chair of Women of WaterTower Theatre. She has been actively involved in the community through her association with a variety of organizations such as National Charity League, The Dallas Arboretum, Meals On Wheels, The Dallas Museum of Art, March of Dimes, The Dallas Theological Seminary, The Dallas Life Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, and Kappa Alpha Theta Mother's Club.
Todd Fiscus is the owner of Todd Event Design. Clients include Dallas Symphony, Mansion on Turtle Creek, Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, and many others. Todd is a member of the President's Advisory Council for the AT&T Performing Arts Center, on the host committee for "Bridging the Trinity," and a 2007 Style Ambassador for DIFFA/Dallas. He regularly designs major events including opening night galas and after parties.
Ed Tauriac, Jr.
Ed Tauriac is a Partner with Deloitte & Touche, Ed has served as a member of TACA's Grants Panel. He is a member of the NEXUS Board of Directors and has served on the Girl Scouts of Tejas Council. He led the United Way campaign at Deloitte & Touche in 2007. His skills include accounting, investment, management and planning. He is the proud father of twin girls who are 13 years old.
Ashley Tripplehorn is co-owner Tripplehorn Hoak Interiors. She chaired the 2010 TACA Lexus Party on the Green and will serve as co-chairman of the 2011 TACA Lexus Party on the Green with her sister, Elizabeth Tripplehorn. She has served on the host committee for the 2010 Dallas Contemporary "Wish" Auction; is an active member of the Annual Cattle Baron's Ball for Cancer Research; is a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Brain Health at UTD; and serves on the Advisory Council, Dallas International Film Festival, Dallas Film Society.
Along with the four new members of its board, TACA announced that Gillian Breidenbach, Tim Doke, Don Glendenning, Tincy Miller, Ken Travis and Rick Wilbins will begin their second three-year terms.
