DALLAS, Texas, January 19, 2012 — TACA, the premier umbrella arts organization in North Texas, has appointed eleven new members to its Board of Directors to serve three-year terms. In addition, the organization has appointed four current board members to second three-year terms and named its 2012 board officers.

"We are thrilled about the outstanding slate of officers, new board members and returning board members—all of whom share TACA's passion for a vibrant cultural community and will provide sound guidance," said Becky Young, President and Executive Director of TACA. "Their commitment and energy will help TACA provide financial support and services to many worthy local arts organizations."

New board members include: Marsha Cameron, Garry L. Cox, David Droese, Gwen Echols, H. Ralph Hawkins, Tara Lewis, Jim Nugent, Holly Reed, Scott P. Stolley, Rod Sumner and Michelle F. Vobach.

Marsha Cameron
Marsha is Co-Founder of Paradox Compensation Advisors. For almost 30 years, Marsha has applied innovative yet pragmatic thinking to the design of compensation systems. She has worked with privately held and publicly traded organizations in a broad array of industries, as well as nonprofits. Marsha holds a Master of Science degree from Columbia University, where she was a Paul F. Lazarsfeld fellow. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor's degree from the University of California-Riverside. She served on the Executive Board of the Dallas Symphony for six years and is currently on their Advisory Board. Marsha currently serves on TACA's Finance Committee.

Garry L. Cox
Garry is the owner of Anderson, Cox and Company, the prestigious salon located at Stanley Korshak in the Crescent Court. This will be Garry's second tenure on the TACA Board of Directors, where he previously chaired the Dallas International Art Antique and Jewelry Show and led several fundraising initiatives. He is TACA's chance ticket committee chair for the 2012 Silver Cup Awards Luncheon. Garry is also active in a number of other arts and community related endeavors.

David Droese
David is a Principal with Droese Raney Architecture. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University. Along with his wife Suzanne, David is co-chairing the 2012 TACA Silver Cup Award Luncheon. This will be David's second tenure on TACA's Board of Directors. He was named TACA Volunteer of the Year in 2009 for his leadership in relocating TACA's offices to One Arts Plaza.

Gwen Echols
Gwen has been an active community volunteer since 2001. Leadership roles have included President of the Board of Directors for Arts District Friends (2003), Regionalism Committee Chair for Leadership Dallas (2003) and an Executive Mentor in the Education and Workforce Division for The Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce (2001–present). From 1991 to 2001, Gwen was Senior Vice President (2000–2001) and Vice President (1995–2000) with Bank of America. This will be Gwen's second tenure on the TACA Board of Directors. Gwen currently serves as a co-chair of TACA's Board of Governors program.

H. Ralph Hawkins
H. Ralph Hawkins is Chairman and CEO of HKS, ranked one of the top ten architectural/ engineering firms in the world. Under his leadership, HKS has received numerous awards, including being named one of the "Best Places to Work in Dallas/Fort Worth" twice in the last decade. A Fortune magazine survey listed him in the Top 25 Best Bosses in 2005. Ralph is a Senior Fellow in the Design Future Council, a Fellow in the American Institute of Architecture and a member of the Council of Fellows in the American College of Healthcare Architects. Ralph has an undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master's in Architecture from Rice University and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Ralph also serves as Adjunct Professor, development board chair and dean's advisory council for UTA and is a member of the University of Texas Chancellors Executive Committee. He also serves as Chair of the Rice School of Architecture Dean's Circle.

Tara Lewis
Tara Lewis is a CPA and an attorney. She is Vice President of HEYCO Energy Group where she has primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of this small oil and gas exploration and production company, with both domestic and international interests. This is Tara's second tenure on the TACA Board of Directors. She is currently a member of TACA's Grants Committee and Finance Committee.

Jim Nugent
Jim is Director of Administration at Thompson, Coe, Cousins and Irons, LLC. He has worked exclusively in professional service corporations for 20 years, primarily as a firm administrator. He is a former audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jim also serves on the board of the Dallas Film Society and is Treasurer for the Video Association of Dallas. Jim is a past president of the USA Film Festival Board of Directors. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of Undermain Theatre and The 500, Inc. He is a recipient of the Ken Bryant Vision Award for outstanding volunteerism, and a recipient of the 2008 TACA Volunteer of the Year Award. This is Jim's second tenure on the TACA Board of Directors. He is currently a member of the Finance Committee and serves on a Grants Panel.

Holly Reed
Holly is Senior Vice President for External Affairs for AT&T. She has been involved with TACA as a member of the Corporate Council, and an event attendee. Holly holds a BA in business from Texas A&M, and has been active in many area nonprofit organizations. In addition to TACA, Holly serves on the Board of Directors of Downtown Dallas, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, UTD Development Board, North Texas Commission, Cotton Bowl Athletic Association, Texas Lyceum and the SMU Athletic Forum.

Scott P. Stolley
Scott is a Senior Partner in the Appellate Practice Group at Thompson & Knight LLP (1996-present). He is Vice-Chair of the Thompson & Knight Foundation (2009-present). Thompson & Knight is a major tenant at One Arts Plaza and has been a supporter of TACA's Corporate Council since 2008. Scott has served on the boards of the Dallas Arts District Alliance, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Dallas Bar Association. He currently serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, and is also a member of the Texas Supreme Court Advisory Committee. He is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (one of only about 300 Fellows nationwide). He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation.

Rob Sumner
Rob Sumner is Director of Marketing at Park Place Dealerships, where he manages all the marketing programs for the dealership group including the sponsorships of many Dallas-area arts organizations. Rob has more than 20 years of advertising and marketing experience gained in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. Prior to joining Park Place, Rob spent his career in the advertising industry, working at agencies including Grey Worldwide, Ogilvy and Mather and Tracy Locke, working on brands from Frito-Lay to Nike. Rob is a charter member of the Dallas Luxury Marketing Council and chairs the TACA Profile and Brand Management Committee.

Michele F. Vobach
Michele Vobach joined the Merrill Lynch Public Finance Team in 2002. She is responsible for leading the coverage of a wide variety of governmental, healthcare and academic institutions throughout the country. Her local clients include Parkland and University Health System and Dallas Area Rapid Transit, or "DART." Throughout her career, Michele has held leadership roles with several industry groups including the Healthcare Financial Management Association and The Bond Buyer's Transportation and Healthcare Conferences. As a member of the board of the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas (the MAC), she focused on Municipal Bond Disclosure and Investor Relations. She is also active in the community with Our Children's House at Baylor and is Chair of Baylor's Celebrating Women Breast Cancer fundraiser. She received a BA with a concentration in Economics and Art History from Rice University, where she serves as Alumni Association President Michelle currently serves as a co-chair of TACA's Board of Governors program.

Along with these new members to its board, TACA announced that Bill Bogart, Nick Even, Heather Esping and Zannie Voss will serve second three-year terms. Officers of the 2012 TACA Board of Directors are:
