DALLAS, Texas — October 6, 2014 — On September 26, a record breaking 330 guests gathered at the TACA RBC Wealth Management Custom Auction Gala hosted by Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. This year, the black tie gala sold out in record time and the live auction topped last year’s record breaking revenue by raising a total of $215,000 to support North Texas Arts Organizations. The total amount raised for the event was $615,000.

This year, the TACA RBC Wealth Management Custom Auction Gala was co-chaired by Wanda Gierhart and Dean Fearing and Honorary Co-Chairmen were Ann and Lee Hobson. This year’s event marked the 11th in the partnership between TACA and RBC Wealth Management, the Title Sponsor.

Co-Chairman Wanda Gierhart remarked, “Friday night was not only record breaking in attendance and funds raised, it was a magnificent evening for Dallas arts patrons. TACA’s Custom Auction Gala has become a highly anticipated event for the Dallas Arts community, we are very grateful to everyone who supported the event.”

Co-Chairman Dean Fearing added, “It was fantastic to see TACA‘s lively patrons raising their paddles to support Dallas’ thriving performing arts community.”

This year’s one-of-a-kind live auction was led by Andrew McVinish, Head of Private and Iconic Collections at Christie’s Americas.

Auction highlights:

  • Eight couples will experience Parsons Dance Company at the Winspear Opera House and then dine with a select group of Parsons dancers at the beautifully appointed midcentury home of Sharon and Michael Young.
