GUESTS WINED AND DINED AT TACA LEXUS PARTY ON THE GREEN TO SUPPORT THE PERFORMING ARTS

Chaired by Anne and Jeremy Besser and Kristen and Ladd Sanger, TACA Lexus Party on the Green was held on Friday, May 9 at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Twenty acclaimed chefs from Dallas and around the world prepared gourmet dishes for more than 650 attendees, who enjoyed a magical evening sampling delicacies ranging from wild boar carpaccio and hot smoked redfish to peanut butter and jelly macarons with foie gras mousse.

Chef Abraham Salum of Salum and Komali won the coveted Golden Skillet Award for his beer-braised oxtail roulade with Swiss chard, Chihuahua cheese and piloncillo pasilla demiglace over a black bean tamal. His signature dish was deemed the winner by the evening's culinary judges: Dallas Morning News editor Sarah Blaskovich, CultureMap Dallas Editor-in-Chief Jennifer Chininis and D Magazine Executive Editor Cristina Daglas.

Throughout the breezy evening, guests were treated to entertainment provided by DSQ Electric, an electric ensemble, and Shoot Low Sheriff, a western swing band. Attendees tried their luck at a wine cork pull to take home unique premium wines and lined up for candid photos at the Lexus Photo Stand. Later in the evening, emcee Bill Ogle drew the name of the lucky winner of a 2014 Lexus IS 250—Goagiat Suestrong of Garland. The night concluded with a spectacular fireworks display in the skies over Turtle Creek.
