TACA Perforum: Amplifier Workshops

TACA Perforum: Amplifier Workshops

At TACA Perforum in 2014, panelist Sandra Jackson-Dumont of the Metropolitan Museum of Art commented that arts organizations often don’t know where to go when in need of ideas, best practices, or resource sharing. Additionally, attendees from past years of TACA Perforum value the aspirational nature of the symposium while at the same time expressing a need for more tactical offerings.

In response, TACA launched the Amplifier Workshops, a series of interactive sessions aimed at providing local arts and cultural organizations access to expertise on specific topics that may otherwise be difficult to access on an individual basis. These workshops give organizations the opportunity to directly engage with local and national experts in marketing, audience development, and fundraising.

Planned workshop experts for 2017 include Alan Brown of WolfBrown, Doug Kinzey of Audience Strategies for the Arts, and others. Watch this space as more workshops will be added throughout the year.
